You know it’s very easy to spot red flags in male movie characters, especially in Bollywood. Bollywood has disappointed us many times with toxic male characters that are problematic on all levels. But then our very own Bollywood has also given some of the purest green flag characters that you just can’t resist. Gone are the times when men were just macho heroes rescuing women. This is the era of vulnerable, compassionate, and sensitive men. Men who can cry, who are not shy about seeking help when they need it, and who acknowledge the worth of women in their lives.

Let’s dive into the video and adore these men a little more

  1. Rocky Randhawa from Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani

Rocky is one of the biggest green flags  of 2023. In one of the scenes, he says, "Bro, I did not grow up with any of this language. I do not intend to hurt you, but I haven’t been brought up in this way. If there’s a problem, please let me know; I am happy to learn and adapt." And then the best part? When he performs kathak with Rani’s father in the durga puja,. Seeing a man take such personal interest in his girlfriend’s values and culture and be willing to even sometimes make a fool of himself to improve in the end is extremely refreshing to see on screen.  His monologue in the second half of the film, where he raises the issues of misogyny, favoritism, and patriarchy, will leave you with so many questions in mind.

  1. Sattu from Satyaprem ki Katha

Kartik Aryan as Sattu is such a green flag for all the girls who are finding genuine love in this hookup era. Sattu is a happy-go-lucky guy who is sweet, honest, and completely non-toxic. Sattu talks about consent, and not only this, he is someone who would accept and embrace you just the way you are.  Today, where your past can ruin your whole life, a Sattu-like man accepts your past and teaches you to move forward in your life.

  1. Shahid Kapoor as Aditya in Jab We Met and Prem in Vivah

In the world of kabir singhs, aditya or prem stands as a benchmark of green flag energy. Aditya is emotional, vulnerable, extremely respectful, and someone who doesn’t try to be Geet’s ‘fixer’ but lets her be. Similarly, Prem from Viviah is someone who is willing to go above and beyond for his love. Be it Aditya from Jab We Met or Prem from Vivah, Shahid Kapoor has proved us to be one of the purest and greenest flags of Bollywood.  and not only on screen; this guy is a walking green flag in his real life as well. The bond he shares with his wife, Meera, definitely gives off the purest vibes and couple goals

  1. Shahrukh Khan as Dr. Jug & Real Life

Shahrukh has an irresistible charm, not only in movies; this man is a walking green flag in real life as well. In an interview, he says, “I always want to be surrounded by women in my life; they are the best. Even his character as Dr. Jug in Dear Zindagi is the portrayal of an ideal therapist for every woman who is non-judgmental and ditches the orthodox mentality.

  1. Pankaj Tripathi in Real Life

Be it his character in Gunjan Saxena, Mimi, or Masaan,. He is one of the purest souls in Bollywood. Not only in real life, but this man is an ideal person in real life as well, who values women in his life and gives them the respect they deserve.

Now, that isn’t it. I have some special mentions as well.

There’s Iqbal from Raazi, Inder from Sanam Teri Kasam, lieutenant Ram from Sita Ramam, and the list goes on.
