Manjri Varde believes that the philosophy of life and art is beauty. In her opinion, when something is finished, it must evoke an utterance or sense of beauty.

3. Beginning of her journey

Varde had the grades required to choose Science as her field of study and become a doctor but she chose to study Commercial Art instead. That was the beginning of her journey as an artist.

4. The concept of Samanjri

Manjri Varde would paint on any blank surface she found- her home, canvases or paper. Her son suggested her to try it out on sarees but she did not enjoy painting on fabrics so she took to digital printing. What makes her artwork even more unique is that she uses Sanskrit chants from the Bhagwad Gita or quotes by Khalil Gibran or Rumi. Varde writes them in using the AumAkshar- a font she created to write English in the Devnagri style.

5. Inspiration

Varde draws inspiration from everything around her. She believes everything in the Universe to be her inspiration- people, birds, trees, energies, yoga, anything that is beautiful, ugly, loud or quiet.

Among many factors that influence her art, some are colours, form, balance, music, words etc.

Manjri Varde's only aspiration is that she wants to have quiet standalone somewhere and offer her beliefs to the world at large.

8. Relationship with her mother-in-law and parents

In an episode of Sisterhood with Shaili, Manjri Varde said that she had a great mother-in-law who never placed any restrictions on her. She added that her parents brought her up to be very independent and outgoing. "I had a great mother-in-law. I remember in those days, I would wear halter tops and go to parties. She never said a word, she was very sweet. I was also brought up by my parents to be very independent, very outgoing. They never stopped me from doing anything," she said.

9. Relationship with Sameera

As evident in her posts on Instagram, Varde shares a very easy going relationship with her daughter-in-law Sameera. She said to SheThePeople that it was not a power game in her house as it was open to everyone. To quote her, "In Indian households, it's a power game between the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law because I'm still the head of the house but I've been single and independent for many years so there was no power game in our house. It was open to everyone. I think that made the difference"

10. Her views on children moving

In the same interview, Varde opened up that when one has children, they must know that one day they will grow up and move. She said that both her children were free to go and live wherever they wanted to.
