Hunter Biden and his wife Melissa Cohen’s marriage is reportedly on the rocks following the federal investigation into Biden. The couple has mostly been confined to their rented home in Little Rock, Malibu with their son Beau.

Melissa Cohen is a South African activist and filmmaker. She was previously married to Jason Landver. Cohen and Biden got married in Los Angeles on May 16, 2019. The couple reportedly did not know each other for a long time prior to the marriage and got married the same month they met.

• 35-year-old Melissa Cohen is from South Africa and she is a documentary filmmaker and a co-owner of Tribal Worlds, a company based in Los Angeles that aims to “promote indigenous conservation”.
• Cohen’s first marriage was with Jason Landver, the couple split up in 2014.
• She later got married to Hunter Biden in 2019 and gave birth to their son in March 2020. Their son is named Beau, after Biden’s late brother who died of brain cancer in 2015.
• Reportedly, the couple met in May 2019 and got married to each other that same month.
• Her husband has three children, Naomi Finnegan, and Maisy with his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle. Biden and Buhle have been separated since 2015 and got divorced in 2017.
• Before Cohen and Biden got married, he dated Hallie Biden, his late brother’s widow. The couple later split up.
• As per reports by Page Six, Biden and Cohen’s marriage is on the rocks due to the federal investigation into him. They have allegedly been instructed to stay out of sight. Reports revealed that the Secret Service reside in the mansion next to theirs to watch over them. The Secret Service is paying more than 30,000 dollars per month in rent to protect Biden and Cohen in their Malibu home.
• Biden could be facing charges related to possible tax violations and foreign lobbying violations. These charges stem from a probe into Biden’s finances and overseas business deals that had been conducted by US Attorney David Weiss.
