Who is Aubrey O'Day? Pop Singer Accused Of Photoshopping Herself Into Exotic Vacations

Singer Aubrey O'Day has been accused of photoshopping herself into pictures of numerous exotic destinations across the globe for a stream of images shared on Instagram. The claim was made by a Tiktok user @residualdata, who said that O'Day seems to have photoshopped herself into stock images and photos from other content creators to make it appear as though she was recently on a lavish Bali getaway.

In the clip, Sophie points out that several of O'Day's images appear to be fake, comparing them against their alleged original photos. The TikTok user went on to surmise that O'Day either uses content "from other content creators or photoshops herself into random promotional images with these very inspirational Instagram captions accompanying the photos. In an era where social comparison is so high and has real effects, why are we doing this?"

While the video appears to have been deleted from the TikTok account where it first appeared, it has been shared on Twitter, where a number of users weighed in with their own takes.

Who is Aubrey O'Day?

• O'Day is an American singer and reality television personality, came to fame in 2004 when she emerged as the star of MTV's Making The Band 3.
• The San Francisco native is best known for being a member of the girl group Danity Kane.
• In 2008, O'Day was fired from the group following a discord among Danity Kane and with her mentor at the time, P. Diddy. However, she reunited with them in 2013 before a second disbandment. Danity Kane reunited in 2018 as a trio.
• The group scored two Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Damaged" and "Show Stopper," the latter becoming their highest-peaking single at No. 8.
• She has also performed in the duo Dumblonde with former Danity Kane bandmate Shannon Bex since 2015.
• Aubrey also took the musical theater stage, appearing in Hairspray on Broadway in 2008, and in the film, American High School in 2009. The reality show contestant was on The Celebrity Apprentice 5 where she placed third.
• O'Day is also best known for having an affair with a then-married Donald Trump, Jr.
• She released her single Wrecking Ball in 2012. Her last single, Body High Love was released in 2021.

• O'Day has been facing a lot of backlash over the controversy which has led the singer to change her Instagram to private. She hasn't reacted to the allegations of stealing and faking images.
