Former US President Donald Trump was found guilty in a hush money trial as former adult actor Stormy Daniels testified against him. She delved into some shocking details during a recent court appearance about her 2006 encounter with Donald Trump. A Manhattan jury on May 30 found the 77-year-old politician guilty of covering up a $130,000 payment to Daniels to buy her silence before the 2016 election about the alleged sexual encounter, which took place while he was married to his third wife, Melania. Trump had pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records to cover up the payment and denies the encounter.

Daniels' Testimony

During her appearance in the Manhattan Court House on May 7, Stormy Daniels was deemed 'a sensational witness' for her odd revelations about Donald Trump. Justice Juan Merchan added that some of the details in the narrative "would have been better left unsaid." Prosecutor Diana Florence said that the testimony "went on for too long."

Allegedly straying away from the topic of the 2006 sexual encounter, Daniels opened up about her show Spooky Babes, where she exposes paranormal activities. Daniels admitted to profiting from her claims of 'communicating with the dead', attributing some mysterious happenings at her home to rodents rather than ghostly entities.

The courtroom also heard Daniel speak about her strip club tour called 'Making America Horny Again'. This tour, playing on Trump's famous slogan 'Make America Great Again', was highlighted by the defence attorney Susan Necheles to suggest Daniels had monetized her alleged encounter with Trump. However, Daniels alleged that she had no control over its branding across various venues, despite acknowledging some promotional posts on her social media.

Later, Daniels was also questioned about about her social media post referring to the flushing of an "orange turd." Daniels clarified that the post was not explicitly naming Trump. That was until she conceded under pressure that it was indeed him she was referring to. The recent trial has given a new twist to the already sensational case.

Earlier, Daniels confessed to being under heavy stress as Trump's supporters bombarded her with death threats. Her lawyer claimed that his client even needed to wear a bulletproof vest every now and then. As Trump was proven guilty, netizens began lauding the former adult actress for her brave testimony, calling her an 'American hero'.

According to Stormy Daniels' statement, the sexual encounter that took place with Trump may have been one of the worst she has ever had. Trump, on the other hand, has denied any sexual relations with her and instead accused her of blackmailing him. He also claimed that her allegations were entirely fabricated.

Daniels was allegedly given a payment of 130,000 US dollars, also known as a hush payment, right before the presidential election of 2016. Following the revelation of the transaction in 2018, Daniels appealed to the courts to void her nondisclosure agreement with Trump and subsequently appeared on various television shows to discuss the matter.

During Stormy Daniels' appearance on CBS's 60 Minutes, she expressed her desire to clarify the truth by announcing that she is not a victim. She also flatly stated that her relationship with him was consensual, even if she was not attracted to him on the night they were in Lake Tahoe. She insisted that she was 'not a victim'. "This is not a #MeToo case," she said.

Stormy Daniels opened up about her childhood in her 2018 memoir that she endured neglect from her family and was victimised by a sexual predator at the tender age of nine. Despite such difficult circumstances, she excelled as a student and developed an interest in horses early on.

She initially worked as a stripper to make a living and later entered the adult film industry where she gained prominence as an actress, director, and screenwriter. Daniels, who once considered running for the US Senate seat in Louisiana in 2010, is a mother and fellow porn actor named Barrett Blade.
