Hollywood Stars Mourn Lost Homes As LA Wildfires Rage
A series of wildfires has ravaged Southern California, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate their homes as flames spread rapidly across the Los Angeles area. Over 80,000 people have been displaced, including several celebrities whose homes have been destroyed. Among those affected are Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, Anna Faris, Ricki Lake, Cary Elwes, Cameron Mathison, Spencer Pratt, and Heidi Montag.
The devastation began with the Pacific Palisades fire on January 7. Following that, the Eaton Fire ignited around 6:30 pm, spreading to 10,000 acres across Pasadena and Altadena by the next morning. The Woodley Fire started early on January 8, burning 75 acres, while the Hurst Fire grew to about 500 acres and continued to burn into the next day. The Tyler Fire, near Coachella, was 50 percent contained at the time of reporting.
The wildfires have led to the postponement of many entertainment events and film productions. As of January 8 evening, the fires had claimed five lives and destroyed more than 1,100 structures, impacting 27,000 acres. The Los Angeles Times has called it the most destructive fire in the county’s history.

Yesterday morning I had a beautiful Spanish cottage that gave me endless joy, where I met my husband and raised my son, the only house I’ve ever owned, with fruit trees I grew, with a garden of native plants. Now, ashes. I am heartbroken 💔 #palisadesfire pic.twitter.com/LBYfZoTFgC
