Wonder Woman needs no man in First Comic-Con Trailer

The trailer, produced for San Diego Comic-Con, shows some of the superhero's World War I-era origin story. Gadot appeared as Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

The trailer opens with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) washing up on shore and encountering Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). “You’re a man?” she asks. “Yeah, do I not look like one?” The teaser, which is heavy on action, focuses on the differences between Themyscira and the rest of the world. “I had no father,” she says to Trevor when he asks if she had ever met a man before. “I was brought to life by Zeus.” Replies the confused Trevor: “Well, that’s neat.”

Not sidelined by Batman or Superman, the rest of the trailer shows Wonder Woman putting her full arsenal of special skills to use on the battlefields of World War I.

Wonder Woman "There’s a lot riding on Wonder Woman’s shoulders—and there will likely be just as much misogynist criticism she’ll need to deflect with her bracelets," said The Wired in its report of the trailer. There is some reaction on the internet that asks
