Poonam Shroti is the Founder of Uddip Welfare Society, which aims to bring about sustainable change in the lives of underprivileged children, women and differently-abled persons. Shroti who grew up in Bhopal, suffers from a rare disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease, which is the reason why her height is a little over two feet.

Shroti did not let her disease stop her. She has completed an MBA with a concentration in finance, and has worked in an HR firm for 6 years. She left to start when she realized she was not growing vertically in the organization.

Hers is an inspiring story of someone who can convert her suffering into strength. Shroti says that she wanted to prove that she is as capable as any other person. Shroti now spends her time bettering the lives of others. The motto of her organization is ‘Can Do.’
