Every day should be Environment Day says Neha Sinha of BNHS

Conservationist Neha Sinha is passionate about everything wild and she's seldom found in urban spaces except when she returns to spend time with family, that includes rabbits, birds and dogs. On #WorldEnvironmentDay she reflects on how we need to make environment an everyday issue and not wait for June 5th to celebrate.

Works on environmental advocacy and policy at BNHS. She undertakes conservation advocacy for threatened species and sites across India, with an emphasis on Important Bird Areas; and she also coordinates the Amur Falcon conservation programme. She works on creating policy positions and briefs for BNHS, and has taught environmental policy at Delhi University.

Neha is an environmental writer, and her work appears regularly in the Economic and Political Weekly, The Hindu, and as a column in DailyO, India Today’s opinion portal. She is a member of the Central Zoo Authority’s Expert Group on Research and Publications, a LEAD-India fellow and an INLAKS Scholar.
