The pestering with a marriage proposal is just the tip of the iceberg. No matter how successful and self-sufficient a woman feels, marriage is the ultimate certificate of success to society. But the problem is that as women the taunts do not come from a specific part of the society like only family members or parents, it comes from the workplace, grocery stores, weddings, while searching for a decent house to live in, amongst other surprising spaces.

In an urban setting, when most women turn 24 or 25, along with birthday wishes comes "Oh, now you are next in line for marriage?" like statements. These one-liners have honestly made the life of single working women hell and thanks to pandemic since most women are stuck at home with their parents or family and working from home settings, escape from these comments becomes harder and eventually, headphones become a saviour.
