It is hardly known why this is celebrated as National Day. How the character has a real life story, which makes it more interesting and creepy. Chucky, with his flame-red hair, wide blue eyes, and evil grin can make anyone adore him, but while giving back it is only torture, or result in death.

Chucky Notorious Killer Doll Day

Chucky, the Notorious Killer Doll is portrayed as a vicious serial killer, who can transfer his soul into a Good Guy doll and constantly attempts to transfer to a human body. Chucky's spooky vibes made him one of the most recognizable horror icons. The 1988 film Child's Play featured Chucky's character. He was a serial killer named Charles Lee Ray, aka Chucky (Brad Dourif). Chucky uses a voodoo ritual inside a toy store to transfer his soul into a Good Guy doll to escape Detective Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon). Chucky is brought by a young Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent), and later Chucky haunts the family. Chucky also appeared in the 1990 sequel, Child's Play 2. The film depicts Chucky's pursuit of Andy, who is in foster care after the events of the first film.

In total, the child play has 8 installments so far, the latest being released in 2019. In the reboot of Child's Play, Chucky (Mark Hamill) is presented as a high-tech artificially-intelligent Buddi doll. The other installment shows different phases of Andy Barclay's life and how Chucky has been haunting him in his teen years, college days, and adult life. Meanwhile, Chucky's life is also being parallelly updated by introducing Chuky's ghost bride, kids, and more.

One of the versions says Chucky is said to be inspired by a reallife story, wherein the possed doll was gifted to Robert Eugene Otto. The gift was from his family’s maid in Key West, Florida in 1906. It is said the maid practised black magic and voodoo, also she put a curse on the doll before handing it to Robert because she was unhappy.

The young Robert was immediately drawn to his new companion and named the doll Robert after himself. Later, after Robert's death, the doll was discovered by another 10-year-old girl. However, none of these rumours that Robert is the inspiration behind Chucky is confirmed by Child's Play director, Tom Holland. Perhaps, fans are convinced that there is a link between the demonic dolls.

One can visit Robert the Haunted Doll at the Key West Museum. However, far from reality, many celebrate Chucky during Halloween week. Few fans try to dress up like Chucky spreading their spooky vibes and celebrating the National Chucky- The Notorious Killer Doll Day.
