AP Doctor Takes Patients' Obscene Videos

The man named Venkataraman alias Venkat used to run a clinic by the name Mathikere and was arrested after a woman aged 41 and the mother of a 13-year-old girl made a complaint about his actions to the police. Soon after that police department seized two of his personal mobile phones, and they were sent to FSL to retrieve the data that the accused already deleted.

After the complaints, the accused who was separated from his wife and daughter and lived alone in his clinic cum home fled the city but was later arrested by the police department in Gooty, Andhra Pradesh. As per the police, the 41-year-old woman earlier approached him for treatment for which, he suggested therapy that required her to be completely undressed. As the woman objected to getting undressed, he without any shame showed her the video of another woman of her age undergoing the treatment in an undressed state.

Later the woman contacted the patient whose video she was shown by the doctor and asked her if she knew about it, the woman was completely shocked and filed a complaint with the police and even alerted her friend whose 13-year-old daughter also took treatments from the accused. After this, the girl's mother rushed to the police and filed a complaint.

The cops told The Times of India, that a chargesheet runs 128 pages, and it has the complaints and statements of 23 witnesses which even included the minor girl and her mother. During the investigation, it found around 50 such obscene videos on two personal mobile phones of the accused, which run anywhere from 3–4 minutes to 10–12 minutes.

This kind of incident can be considered every woman's worst nightmare when it comes to consulting a doctor for anything related to their health. The fear of something like this happening to them is what makes them suffer in silence instead of seeking professional help. This indirectly makes women victims of their conditions. This kind of crime raises so many questions, Are we women literally not safe anywhere? Who can we trust if not even a medical professional? How can someone have such a cheap mentality to take advantage of a person seeking medical help?

The condition is truly heartbreaking, and people need to strictly hold such criminals accountable for their actions instead of holding back due to any reason. These people deserve to be punished for their actions so that others can take a lesson from it and change be brought into society.
