Ranjana Agarwal, a woman from Uttar Pradesh has decided to build a shelter home for the transgender community. She sold her jewellery for 2 lakh rupees and purchased a plot of land for the same.
Creation of separate wards will allow Transgender individuals access to medical care and attention without compromising their privacy or expression of gender identity.
Her vision is to support the transgender community in making them digitally literate & give them better opportunities.

A transgender friend of the couple, Anurag Maitrayee, said the ceremony was a “beautiful, emotional union of two hearts and two souls.”
