Mati Diop Becomes First Black Woman Filmmaker To Compete In Cannes

French Senegalese actor Mati Diop has created history, she become the first woman of African descent whose film Atlantics, was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, on Thursday. This was the first time that it happened in the festival's 72 year history.
