Carol Maltesi, widely known by her stage name Charlotte Angie, was allegedly murdered while filming sex tapes in Brescia, Italy. She was 26-years-old and the mother of one child. Her dismembered remains were discovered on March 21, according to sources, after being tossed from a rocky cliff. Maltesi's death has been linked to the arrest of a 43-year-old man.
As per reports, after 15 thawed body parts were discovered in waste bags in a ditch in Northern Italy on Sunday, police made an arrest on Tuesday. Investigators detained Davide Fontana, a 43-year-old bank employee from Milan, on Tuesday after discovering contradictions in his statement.
According to the NL Times, Fontana stated that when Maltesi died, he was filming two violent sex tapes with her. He then allegedly violently assaulted her before slitting her throat. According to reports, the distressing encounter was also recorded on his phone, but it was afterwards erased. Experts in forensics may be able to recover the missing footage.
Fontana reportedly kept a constant presence on Maltesi's cell phone and paid her rent to keep the deception of her being alive going. When the investigation into Maltesi's death began, he had her bagged remains disposed of in Brescia.
When Maltesi went missing after failing to show up for work at a nightclub, Fontana's name came up. He reortedly later confessed to her murder and was arrested on various counts, including homicide, earlier this week on March 29.
