His management team confirmed the cricketer's demise on Friday, March 4 in a statement that said that he was found unresponsive at his villa in Thailand. Who is Simone Callahan?
Shane Warne was married to Simone Callahan from 1995-2005. Their marriage ended after the cricketer right around rumours of Warne's suspected infidelity began doing rounds, when their family moved to England. Soon after, Callahan left him in England and moved back to Australia with their three kids and filed for divorce.
However, the two kept in touch with regard to their kids and their love rekindled again in 2009 after an on-off relationship. Yet in 2010, the former couple separated their ways and the cricketer started dating British actor Elizabeth Hurley.
Shane Warne revealed in a documentary titled Shane that the lowest point in his life was when his wife left him, taking away his children. Reflecting upon the breakdown, he said, "I think that was the lowest. The impact on my children, they wouldn’t get to see me and that was my fault…I would go back and raid the mini bar."
