Women Top UPSC 2021, Who is Shruti Sharma, Three Girls Secure Top Ranks in UPSC
 The final result of the UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2021 has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Shruti Sharma came out on top in the Civil Services examination this time. 684 people have qualified for IAS, IFS, IPS, and other services alongside her. The second and third rank holders are Ankita Agarwal and Gamini Singla respectively. The UPSC results were dominated by ladies this year as the fourth position was also bagged by a female named Aishwarya Verma.

With Sharma topping the list, Ankita Agarwal, Gamini Singla, and Aishwarya Verma came in second, third, and fourth, respectively. Dr Jitendra Singh, a Union Minister, welcomed the candidates, praising the top four and exclaiming, "Women's power at its best! It gives me great pleasure to see women succeed in all aspects of life and school."

Shruti Sharma, the UPSC topper, has become the talk of the town right now, and everyone is curious about her and wants to know about her journey, and how she cracked the exam since the results were declared. Here is everything we know about her.

Who Is Shruti Sharma?

Shruti Sharma earned a bachelor's degree in history with honours at St Stephen's College, Delhi University. Sharma went on to the renowned Jawaharlal Nehru College to pursue a master's degree in modern history. She dropped out of school in the middle of her studies and was enrolled in Jamia Millia Islamia Residential Coaching Academy to prepare for the UPSC.

She went on to say that her parents, teachers, and friends deserve credit for her accomplishment because they have always been there for her.

 Sharma was born in the city of Bijnor in the state of Uttar Pradesh. She stated that her household has always had a very disciplined study environment. Her mother has always been very concerned about her children's education. It helped a lot in gaining success in the examination because of the study and writing atmosphere at home.

This was Shruti Sharma's second attempt at the Civil Services, and she was successful. In her first effort, she was left with only one number, but she persisted.

UPSC Exam

The top candidates are chosen based on their performance in UPSC's three stages of selection: Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The preliminary exam took place on October 10th, 2021, while the main exam took place in January. The selected candidates for these two exams went through a rigorous interview process from April 5th to May 26th, 2022.

The UPSC's official website has a complete list of all the candidates who made the cut. Six hundred and eighty-five individuals have been shortlisted for positions in the Indian government's civil services, such as IAS, IPS, and IFS.
