The trailer for Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, Raksha Bandhan, released on June 21. The film is a family comedy-drama, which centres on a brother-and-sister relationship. The comedy-drama in which Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar play the principal characters is focused on love and the relationship between brothers and sisters. As Kumar's sisters, actors Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth also star in the film.

Kumar is shown searching for grooms to wedding off his four sisters in the roughly three-minute trailer. Kumar plays a businessman who owns a restaurant in the film. While he searches for appropriate men for his sisters, Pednekar, his love interest, is seen asking him about their upcoming wedding.

The entire trailer shows Kumar juggling his profession and taking care of his four sisters. At a marriage bureau, Kumar can be seen in the trailer requesting discounts for the matrimonial service fee. As Kumar tries to figure out how to pay for the weddings of his sisters, the social comedy makes a satirical dig at dowry.

On the other hand, Pednekar's father issues him with an ultimatum to get married to his daughter. In a last-ditch effort to find a groom, Kumar is shown attempting to wed one of his sisters to a scrap dealer. Kumar is eventually able to wed one of his sisters as the trailer comes to a close.

After the trailer was released, viewers saw new faces and the strange bond between five siblings, and they wondered who the new faces were. Sahejmeen Kaur was born on July 15 in Delhi, India. She was born to Sonia Kaur and Manjeet Singh. She has an older brother who works as an engineer. She is reportedly pursuing a master's degree in mass communication. She enjoys reading, dancing, and singing.
