Who is Radha Iyengar Plumb? One of the five nominees for top leadership posts in Biden's government. Nominated for a key pentagon position, Radha Iyengar is currently the US government's Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of Defense.

Radha Iyengar Plumb has been selected by US president Joe Biden as one of the five nominees for top leadership positions. Radha who has immense experience working in academia, and government, is adept in policy research and trust and safety matters.

She currently serves as the chief of staff to Kathleen H Hicks, US deputy secretary of defence. The five nominees for key pentagon posts in Biden's administration were announced by the White House on June 15. Indian-American official Radha Iyengar Plumb has been nominated for the position of deputy undersecretary of defence for acquisition and sustainment.

Dr. Radha Iyengar Plumb is a key official of the Biden's government in the US. She is an Indian American based in New York. She completed her education at the Massachusetts Institute Of Technology and has secured a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University. She has an extensive work experience including positions at Google as director of research and insights for trust and safety, Facebook’s global head of policy analysis with high risk/high harm safety and critical international security issues as her focus, while also working on product policies and researching the economic value and social impact.

She has extensive experience in national security, holding several positions at the Department of Defense, Energy, and National Security Council at the White House. Post completing her education she also worked as a professor, from 2008-to 2011 at the London School of Economics. She has also worked at a nonprofit global policy corporation- RAND and served as a senior economist. Also focusing on the betterment of security efforts across the Department of Defense.

Radha Iyengar Plumb is yet another addition to Biden's troop of key Indian American officials. Back in March 2021, he had stated- "Indian-of-descent Americans are taking over the country. Swati Mohan, my Vice President (Kamala Harris), my speech writer (Vinay Reddy)."
