Sarcar believes that a show like this and Parna as a character is the dire need of regional and national content. She feels that most women will be able to relate with it. "It will be relatable to a girl who has gone through MMS-like situations and hopes to give them strength, while it will also show the man who does it and how it is wrong and a crime," she said in an interview with SheThePeople.

Who Is Madhumita Sarcar?

Sarcar rose to fame with the daily soap Bojhena Se Bojhena in 2013, when her character Pakhi became a household name in West Bengal. She went on to act in many other serials like Kusum Dola and films like Love Aaj Kal Porshu and Cheeni.

But whichever show she took part in, she made sure that her character was impactful enough and does not say no to a role easily. "Maybe if it's a repetition of my previous character, I will not say yes. Only this might contribute to me saying no to a character. If I get a character that is fresh, even if it is negative or positive, anything but it needs to be impactful enough," Sarcar said.

Other than being an actor, Sarcar, when at home, is either studying or learning a new language. Currently, she is learning Telugu for an upcoming project. Till now, she knows Hindi, English, Bengali and French till A1 level, which is the basic understanding of the language.

Sarcar went through a divorce recently. She and her partner Saurav Chakraborty had separated long back but the pandemic had stretched the legal process and their papers went through only recently. The estranged couple has not spoken to each other for two years. Speaking on her decision to go ahead with a divorce when the marriage was not working out, she said in an interview with the Times of India, "When a girl decides to marry someone, love is not the only thing in her mind. There's much more to it. We had a thing for each other but somewhere down the line, we felt it wasn't working out. It seems like we're not compatible anymore."
