Who Is Rashi Shinde? Young Girls Goes Viral On Twitter, Netizens Call Her 'Choti Deepika'

Choti Deepika started trending on Twitter on February 9 after actor Ranveer Singh posted a video of a young girl named Rashi Shinde on his timeline. Singh called her a mini version of his wife and actor Deepika Padukone.

Ahead of Deepika Padukone's film Gehraiyaan release, the songs of the film have gone viral on the internet. Many social media users are seen mixing up the film's soundtrack with their personal videos. Rashi Shinde in many of her videos was seen lip-synching to Padukone's dialogues in her films. In the video shared by Ranveer Singh, Shinde was enacting the scene from Ram Leela lipsynching to Deepika Padukone's dialogues in that scene. She was also wearing a similar attire as the actor's character in the film trying to mirror the same expressions.

Who Is Choti Deepika Rashi Shinde?

Rashi Shinde makes skit videos and lip-synching videos on Instagram where she enjoys followership of more than a million. Because she is underage, her mother Ashwini Shinde handles her account. In many of Shinde's videos, she is seen dressing up as popular female actors in famous films and acting out either the song sequence or a scene. Some of Shinde's videos are also with her mother.

After Ranveer Singh's tweet, netizens also saw the resemblance between Shinde and Padukone and started sharing the former's videos calling her 'Choti Deepika'. Thousands of tweets were made with the same hashtag making the Rashi Shinde trend on the social media site.

Deepika Padukone's much-awaited film Gehraiyaan is soon going to release on OTT platform Amazon Prime on February 11 this year. The actor has been seen buy promoting the film with her co-stars and the crew members. As per the trailer, the film is going to explore love triangle and the subject of infidelity. The makers have also shared that the film is about modern relationships and the complexity of urban lives. Apart from Padukone, the film has actor Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday playing the lead roles.
