Russia had launched attacks on military airports and stockpiles in Ukraine yesterday, further air raid sirens could be heard over Kyiv, the capital city of the country. The attacks have allegedly increased causing restlessness amongst people there and in Indian families whose daughters and sons are stuck there. More than 100 civilians have so far lost their lives due to the attack.

In his statement, Putin insisted that Russia does not intend to invade Ukraine but just to "demilitarise" it. "We decided to launch a special military action aimed at militarisation and denazification of Ukraine," he added.

This decision of Putin has not gone down well with the people of Russia too, who are protesting against the war in various cities across the nation. Many world leaders, including United States president Joe Biden, have slammed Russia and imposed heavy financial sanctions on the country to discourage further attacks on Ukraine.

Amongst all the criticisms against Putin, actor McCord jumped the wagon with a poem. She posted a video of her "powerful" verses on Twitter but instead got slammed by netizens for the sheer bizarreness of it.

The former 90210 star's poem was called 'self-indulgent' and 'narcissistic.' In two minutes 20 seconds long video, she said, "Dear President Vladimir Putin, I'm sorry that I was not your mother." She goes on to say, "If I was your mother, if the world was cold, I'd have died to make you warm. ...I'd have died to give you life." She concludes it by saying that perhaps she was born "too late" to be Putin's mother.

The actor hinted that she was speaking metaphorically, however, many people have called her video tone-deaf and sexist.
