Viraf Patel Gives Saloni Khanna Rubber Band Instead Of Wedding Ring

Ek Boond Ishq actor Viraf Patel tied the knot with Saloni Khanna in a court marriage as a larger gathering isn't possible during COVID-19. He gave his wife a rubber band instead of a wedding ring.

The 40-year-old actor tied the knot with his friend Saloni Khanna who is also an actor. The couple met in an online show and the two instantly became friends. They decided to get engaged in February this year. Though the couple wanted to get married soon, they couldn't have a big fat wedding because of the ongoing pandemic. This is why they opted for a court marriage instead. The ceremony was attended by three family members who were also the witnesses, Viraf Patel said.

Viraf Patel during an interview said, "Given the uncertain times, we wanted to give certainty to ourselves. We hope to make the marriage meaningful and worthy."

Viraf Patel was seen giving his wife Saloni Khanna a rubber band instead of a wedding ring. When he was asked the reason for this, he again stated the pandemic being a major hurdle. The Ek Boond Ishq actor said, "What to do! Everything is shut. I am just glad Saloni hasn’t beaten me up."

Who is Viraf Patel?

Saloni Khanna was seen in a pivotal role in the TV program The Raikar Case while Viraf Patel was seen in Ek Boond Ishq. Prior to his acting and modelling career, Patel was a sailor in the Merchant Navy. After quitting, he participated and won The Grasim Mr India 2005.  Viraf has also been the face of a clothing brand. He made his debut in Theatre with Vikram Kapadia's "Bombay Talkies" in 2012.
