Rashami Desai Talks Bollywood And A TV Actor's Place In It

TV Actor Rashami Desai: Rashami Desai, a known television actor recently made her debut on the OTT platform in a short film named Tamas. The actor rose to fame when she starred in a popular television drama named Uttaran.

Desai who was recently seen in Naagin 4: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel as Shakala, talked about TV actors who made their way to Bollywood. She said, "Being a part of Bollywood has a different flavour. But actors have to be very patient. "

She said that sometimes even after everything gets finalised, actors get a last-minute call about them being replaced. She said, "Sometimes everything is finalised and at the last moment because of a call, you get replaced and somebody else is finalised. But hats off to such TV actors… who make a transition from TV to films. Now I am happy that people are open to take actors from TV in web and films."

Rashami Desai also talked about television actors who get categorised and face different treatment as compared to film actors. "They say that yeh toh TV actress hai, toh bura lagta hai. "She continued that she feels bad that people dont want to conveniently see the work that she has done and the good projects that she has been part of. "They categorise me for their convenience and comfort," she added.

Rashami Desai said that she feels "influential people get better projects and better space".  She said, "It is wrong. I don't like it. It is humiliating and insulting. We are actors and as actors we can explore every medium and should not be neglected." Desai has many film credits including some Gujarati films. She is going to be seen in an upcoming web series Tandoor on Ullu app. In the past, Rashami Desai has participated in many reality television shows such as Bigg Boss 13, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Nach Baliye and Fear Factor.
