The Rings Of Power Twitter Review
Other than a more expensive set, this time the cast was more diversified which did not sit well with the fandom. LOTR had an all-white cast and as the story was already been written by Tolkein keeping in mind a certain look the makers of the show should not have altered anything. An audience has written on Rotten Tomatoes, "Reflecting world diversity in Middle Earth is an odd goal, albeit good for marketing maybe, but it was clearly more important then <sic> making a functional TV series." Many fans have called out this behaviour as racist and asked everyone to watch it with an open mind. Someone tweeted saying, "If you're complaining about the diversity in the casting of #TheRingsOfPower, then congratulations. You've just shown us that you're a bigoted piece of gutter trash! What a pathetic life you must lead."
As per reports Amazon Prime had taken down the review section in their app to stop review bombing. But the Hollywood Reporter says, "The source later claimed Prime Video started the policy this summer on all its shows."
Many viewers have applauded the show for its visuals, calling it breathtaking. A Twitter user said, "My god this is a gorgeous show #RingsOfPower" as they shared a number of screenshots from the show." Another viewer left a positive review of the show, saying, "My review of #TheRingsOfPower 1st 2 episodes: It's magical like no other show. They've captured the wonder of Tolkien's world. I was impressed by mastery of different tones - calm, comedy, horror. The set-up we're given is streamlined, clear. Lots of cool cameos/references."
