In what's being called a super victory for Trinamool Congress (TMC), the Bengal elections have been called in favour of the Mamata Banerjee led political party. Bengal has 294 seats and saw a fierce contest between the ruling Trinamool Congress and BJP.

Trinamool Congress, as per NDTV's election desk, has over 204 seats, giving it a decisive win in the eastern state.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav congratulated Mamta Banerjee and TMC for the early lead in West Bengal assembly elections results.
Mamata Banerjee however at an individual level is trailing marginally in Nandigram.

BJP, reports NDTV slipped to between 75-85 seats. As per reports, TMC's political strategist Prashant Kishor had asserted that the BJP would not cross the three-figure mark in West Bengal.
