In what's being called a super victory for Trinamool Congress (TMC), the Bengal elections have been called in favour of the Mamata Banerjee led political party. Bengal has 294 seats and saw a fierce contest between the ruling Trinamool Congress and BJP.

- Trinamool Congress, as per NDTV's election desk, has over 204 seats, giving it a decisive win in the eastern state.
- Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav congratulated Mamta Banerjee and TMC for the early lead in West Bengal assembly elections results.
- Mamata Banerjee however at an individual level is trailing marginally in Nandigram.

- BJP, reports NDTV slipped to between 75-85 seats. As per reports, TMC's political strategist Prashant Kishor had asserted that the BJP would not cross the three-figure mark in West Bengal.
