Suhana Khan Urges Fans To 'Stay Safe'

Suhana Khan took to social media to create awareness about COVID-19. She has also expressed her concern over the number of rising case in India.

Suhana Khan has over 1.6 million followers on Instagram. Being concerned about the coronavirus situation and the cases in India, Khan shared a COVID-19 resource guide on her Instagram story. This guide is followed by a graph that demonstrates the number of cases and how it has drastically increased in India over time. Khan also urged people to stay safe amidst the crisis the country is facing. She wrote, “Stay safe” and added a broken heart emoji.

Suhana is currently studying filmmaking in New York. Earlier this week, Suhana’s family, mother Gauri Khan and elder brother Aryan Khan were seen at the Mumbai airport reportedly  on their way to New York to be with Suhana. Father Sharukh Khan on the other hand was not seen in the airport he has been busy supporting his team Kolkata Knight Riders at the Indian Premier League(IPL).

Khan has always been using social media to call out social evils. She roared loud when she was called ‘ugly,’ or ‘kaali,' and spoke about how that was not deterring her anymore on her journey of self-love.

Despite vaccines being rolled out all over the country, India is one of the worst affected countries both in the first wave and in the second wave of COVID-19. Vaccines including Covaxin, Covishield and Sputnik V has been approved by the government for emergency use. The government has now opened up vaccination for all citizens above the age of 18 years starting from May 1.

The country has seen unprecedented spike in the number of COVID-19 cases. Many celebrities, politicians and public figures have also contracted the disease. Many states have imposed lockdowns to prevent further spikes.
