The fiml will explore the journey of Mumbai's mafia queen Gangubai Kathiawadi. It is based on a chapter from Husain Zaidi's novel ‘Mafia Queens Of Mumbai'.
Though Gangubai was pushed into prostitution very early in her, the teaser has focussed on the enigma she later became after overcoming her battles without indulging in self-pity. “Main Gangubai, President Kamathipura. Kumari aapne chhodaa nahi aur srimati kisi ne banaya nahi,” she declares with ease as the trailer ends, defining her identity by what she made it, not by what was forced upon her. The film has created intrigue and interest is positively a big one to watch out for in 2021. It will be releasing on 30 July 2021.
