Meghan Markle-Prince Harry Oprah interview is making headlines even before its release: A trailer from the much-anticipated interview of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by Oprah Winfrey was released recently. The trailer gives viewers a glimpse of the couple's split with Buckingham Palace last year. "It's been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we have each other," Harry can be seen saying in the video, with his wife Meghan Markle by his side.

The interview, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a candid chat with the famous host, will be broadcast on Sunday, March 7, CBS announced.

Harry will also open up about on the death of his mother, Princess Diana in the interview, who at age 36 died in a car crash in Paris in 1997. "My biggest concern was history repeating itself," 36-year-old Harry says in the 30-second teaser clip. "You know, for me, I'm just really relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to you with my wife by my side. Because I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like for her (Diana), going through this process by herself all those years ago," he continued as he held his wife's hand.

The clips were released soon after Markle, 39, accused Buckingham Palace of "perpetuating falsehoods about us". During the interview, Oprah asked her about how she felt about the palace hearing her "speak your truth today". To which, she responded by saying, "I don't know how they could expect that after all this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us. And if that comes with risk of losing things, I mean, there's a lot that's been lost already." Buckingham Palace is currently investigating claims that Meghan had bullied royal household staff during her time in Britain.

This will mark the couple’s first lengthy television interview since their engagement, and certainly the first since they exited their royal duties last year. The couple is currently expecting their second baby which they announced earlier last month.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who married in 2018, stepped down from royal duties last year, left the UK and moved to Canada.
