Involving your partner

"Do everything that you can along with your partner. Nothing is better than doing things together. Ups and downs in life will always happen but getting through them with your partner by your side makes the experience even more joyful" Rajput said in an interview.

Mira Rajput also recently spoke about the importance of children having a one-on-one relationship with their fathers. "Dads aren't there to just fill in when moms are tired," she said. This statement by Mira Rajput on motherhood earned her a nod from many parents.

"A beautiful tip I’ve received and truly practice is nurturing my kids from a young age by teaching them the Indian roots and inculcating a healthy lifestyle," said Rajput in an interview in January this year.

She praised the Indian kitchen traditions that have been taught to her by her mother and grandmother and she wishes to inculcate similar values in her children.

Having some "me time"

Rajput told Telegraph India, "I have also realised that there are a lot more things that I want to learn because once you are done with regular duties and responsibilities for the day, you realise what you missed out on. The lockdown has given me some time to take on courses, read books that I have missed out on."

Having some "me time" for self-development is very important for all mothers. Rajput said that she ensures she is learning and growing while fulfilling her duties as a mother.

Being close to nature

"Chiclets, fire in the mountain and Uma-Joshi. Between online school, flashcards and math toys, nothing teaches the children as gently as nature." read Rajput's Instagram post caption from December last year.

Staying close to nature is peaceful and therapeutic. However it is a struggle to ensure that kids take their eyes off iPads and smartphones to gaze at flowers and ants. Rajput is correct when she says that nature is a great teacher for children. There is so much to learn, if we can encourage our kids to do so.

Every mother's parenting journey is different

Mira Rajput said that she didn't read any parenting books. She advices other moms to listen to themselves and their bodies and not follow any advice blindly.

"My family, my sisters, my mom, everyone gave me so much advice, and the best advice I actually got was to not to follow anything blindly" said Rajput.
