Mickey Kuhn, a former child artist and the last surviving cast member of the 1939 feature film Gone With The Wind, passed away on November 20 at the age of 90 in a hospice facility in Naples, Florida. His wife confirmed his passing to Variety.

Variety asserts that Kuhn played Beau Wilkes as the son of Ashley and Melanie Wilkes, who played Leslie Howard and Olivia de Havilland, respectively, in the classic film. Kuhn was the last credited cast member still alive when the latter died in 2020, until his death on Sunday.

Theodore Matthew Michael Kuhn Jr. was born in Waukegan, Illinois, on September 21, 1932. His first acting role came when he was just two years old when he played an adopted child in the Janet Gaynor movie Change of Heart, which came out not long after his family moved to Los Angeles. In his later years, Kuhn frequently went to conventions and film festivals to meet and greet fans of Gone With The Wind. According to a Variety report, in addition to his wife, he is also survived by his two children.

Thomas Mitchell

Gerald O'Hara was portrayed by Thomas Mitchell in the movie. The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, It's a Wonderful Life, High Noon, and other popular American movies all featured Thomas, who is reputed to be one of the best character actors in the country. In 1940, he won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as a buzzed Doc Boone in John Ford's Stagecoach. His death occurred in 1962.

Barbara O'Neil

In Gone with the Wind, Ellen was portrayed by Barbara O'Neil. She was born in 1910 and has since worked on a number of successful movies, but Gone With the Wind has become her most well-known project. Additionally, she was a contender for the Best Supporting actor Female Oscar. She performed in theatre before switching to acting in movies, appearing in movies like Love Honor and Behave (1938), The Sun Never Sets (1939), and I Am the Law (1938). In 1980, Barbara passed away at the age of 70.

Vivien Leigh

The character of the couple's daughter, Scarlett, was played by Vivien Leigh. Vivien Leigh has appeared over the years in movies like The Deep Blue Sea, Fire Over England, Gentleman's Agreement, The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone, and many others. She was born in India since her parents were serving the Crown here, but they returned to England during World War One, and she spent a considerable amount of time there.

Evelyn Keyes

Suellen, the second daughter, was portrayed by Evelyn Keyes. Evelyn was a talented actor who was born in Texas, USA, in 1916. Here Comes Mr. Jordan (1941), The Jolson Story (1946), Mrs. Mike (1949), The Prowler (1951), and 99 River Street were among the successful movies she appeared in. However, she never won any notable prizes throughout her career. In Montecito, California, on July 4, 2008, she passed away from uterine cancer and Alzheimer's disease.

Olivia de Havilland

She starred in numerous costume adventure films of the 1930s and 1940s, such as Captain Blood (1935), The Charge of the Light Brigade (1936), The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), and They Died with Their Boots On (1941), as the sweet-tempered beauty to Errol Flynn's gallant sailor. She also portrayed Melanie Wilkes in Gone with the Wind and appeared in the romantic comedies Strawberry Blonde (1941), Hold Back the Dawn (1941), and The Male Animal (1942). She was 104. Havilland passed away quietly from natural causes, according to publicist Lisa Goldberg of New York.
