Meet Lisa Yasko, Ukrainian Parliament Member Urges People To Fight For Humanity

Lisa Yasko in her recent address that she uploaded on YouTube urged people to stand with Ukraine in their fight against Russia. The film producer joined the Ukrainian Parliament on July 21, 2019, and represents the political party Servant of the People. Yasko is also a member of the Counting Commission of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Ukrainian leaders are urging their citizens as well as people across countries to help Ukraine in its battle against Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy decided to remain in hiding in the capital Kyiv along with his family instead of abandoning his people.

Earlier, MP Kira Rudik also took to her social media sharing a picture of hers with an assault rifle as she prepares for the war against Russia in order to protect her country. “It sounds surreal as just a few days ago it would never come to my mind. Our women will protect our soil the same way as our men,” she mentioned in her tweet.

Ukrainian MP Lisa Yasko also urged people to “Protect Ukraine, Isolate Russia, Fight for Humanity” in her recent address. She holds the seat of Ukrainian Parliament from Verkhovna Rada since 2019. Watch her address here.

Who is Lisa Yasko?

Lisa Yasko is a Ukrainian politician and film producer who heads the Ukrainian Delegation at PACE. Yasko also holds the office of interparliamentary cooperation, bilateral and multilateral relations and Committee on Foreign Affairs and interparliamentary cooperation.

Lisa Yasko is an Oxford University alumna where she was also the President of Oxford University Ukrainian Society in the year 2016-17. She holds a Masters and Bachelors degree in Political Science. Lisa Yasko is the first Ukrainian to graduate from Blavatnik School of Government at the Oxford University.

Being a cultural expert, Yasko has attempted to improve strategic communications at Presidential Administration of Ukraine by launching an art gallery as well as providing training to public servants. She has also founded Kyiv Music Labs in order to promote Ukrainian music.

According to her official website, she is the Founder of Yellow Blue Strategy campaign in order to work on the cultural and educational projects in Ukraine. She has also created award-winning documentaries in collaboration with British Clover Films.
