Sahana, an actor and model, was found dead the same night at her home in Kozhikode, where she had just celebrated her 22nd birthday. Her family claims she was subjected to domestic violence by her spouse.
On May 12, Sahana, a professional model and Malayalam actor, turned 22. She, on the other hand, was discovered dead in her Kozhikode home on Thursday night under suspicious circumstances. Her parents alleged that her husband abused her. Police have reportedly detained her husband, Sajjad, as part of the ongoing investigation into her death. According to the police, Sahana married Sajjad around a year and a half ago.
The accused person's mother has also reportedly confirmed that disputes started in Sajjad and Sahana's marriage just a week after their wedding. Sajjad's mother said, "We had no contact. My phone number was blocked . I saw my son only once or twice after he left home."
"The life here didn’t agree with her, she couldn’t adjust,” Sajjad’s mother added.

- Sahana was discovered hanging from her window railing at her home in Parambil Bazar, 14 kilometres from Kozhikode.
- A year and a half ago, the actor was reported to have married Sajjad, a 31-year-old man. "Sajjad formerly worked in Qatar but is unemployed here, Sahana recently appeared in a film. The husband and wife are alleged to have fought over the money Sahana received for her role in the film." the investigating officer added to the media
-The first to discover something was wrong was Sahana and Sajjad's neighbour, who also happens to be the owner of the house they were staying in. According to the house owner, Sajjad screamed for help since Sahana was not responding.
- The landlord stated, "I heard Sajjad's call for assistance and rushed to the residence. I spotted his wife sleeping on his lap when I entered the house. When I inquired about what had occurred, he stated that she had stopped responding. I therefore requested that he take her to the hospital. We then contacted the cops, who arrived five minutes later."
- The police arrived, and she was taken to the medical college in their jeep.

- "My daughter would never die by suicide. She was killed," Sahana's mother told Mathrubhumi News.
- Sahana used to complain to her mother that her husband was abusing her and not properly feeding her, according to her mother. Her mother continued, "She had been tortured. She was murdered. The police must investigate and give justice to my daughter. "
- The investigating police officers stated that they are currently researching the case and are unsure whether the death was caused by suicide.
