The month of July had a lot to offer in the entertainment section, with many big screen releases like Shamshera. Popular web-series Stranger Things dropped the final two episodes of season 4 this month. We also got to watch the finale episode of The Boys season 3.

But this weekend, it seems like July is planning to go out with a bang. Beloved mother-daughter duo Neena and Masaba Gupta are making a return to OTT while Janhvi Kapoor will see the release of her fourth feature film.

Good Luck Jerry

Janhvi Kapoor led movie Good Luck Jerry is the Hindi remake of  Kolamaavu Kokila, a 2018 Tamil film featuring Nayanthara. The film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Sushant Singh, Neeraj Sood and Mita Vashisht in important roles. The movie is the story of an innocent girl from Bihar looking for work in Punjab to help the financial needs of her family. She gets dragged in the dangerous world of drugs smuggling and puts her innocent looking face to good use. The movie releases in Disney+Hotstar on July 29.

Masaba Masaba

Featuring the dynamic Neena and Masaba Gupta, this semi-fictional show is returning to OTT with season 2. This time around we will see Masaba, an acclaimed fashion designer, try to sort out her personal and professional life. However her attraction towards an investor and a client only end up complicating things on both fronts. Masaba Masaba starts streaming on July 29.

Paper Girls

This Amazon Prime Video drama series stars Sofia Rosinsky, Camryn Jones, Fina Strazza and Nate Corddry in pivotal roles. The show is a science fiction that focuses on four young girls who had not thought that a morning paper delivery post Halloween will drag them on a time travelling adventures. As they travel through past and future from 1988 to save the world, they discover different versions of themselves that gives them a new perspective of life. The show releases on July 29.

Ek Villain Returns

John Abraham and Disha Patani in Ek Villain Returns

This sequel to the 2014 movie by Mohit Suri Ek Villain stars John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria in lead roles. A serial killer with a smiley mask creates dread and havoc in the city. Two men and the paths they choose to fulfill their one sided love decide who is the hero and who is the villain. However, there might be more to the women they lover than it appears and that can change the course of the story. Watch Ek Villain Returns in cinemas from July 29.

Vikrant Rona

Starring Kichcha Sudeep, Nirup Bhandari, Jacqueline Fernandez and Neetha Ashok in pivotal roles, this movie is an action thriller that tells the story of remote village that hides dangerous secrets. The village has a history of supernatural and bizarre events that started taking place years ago when an eccentric and fearless police officer came to the town and initiated a dangerous and seemingly endless cycle of death and suspicion. The movie is coming to theatres on July 29.
