She was a part of Ye Jo Hai Zindagi, Indian television's first ever sitcom that aired in 1984. Arya was also seen in the role of Kanta Ben in the 2003 movie Kal Ho Naa Ho. The actor will next be seen in an upcoming TV series Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana.

3. Arya was married  to veteran cinematographer Ishan Arya who passed away in 1996. Talking about her marriage, she said in an interview that she is a Maharashtrian married to a Muslim. They got married in Arya Samaj and that's how they got 'Arya' as their surname. She also said that it was because of his encouragement that she has reached a prominent place in the entertainment industry.
4. Sulbha Arya worked in Sab TV's Twinkle Beauty Parlour with her daughter-in-law Shrishti Arya was the producer. She said that she loves working with sincere, hardworking and professional producers and she was undoubtedly one of them. "As a daughter in law too, I have no complaints," she added.
