'Goodbye' Film Shooting Commences

The shooting for Vikas Bahl's upcoming film Goodbye commenced on Friday. The film will starring Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. It is said that this will be actor Shivin Narang's Bollywood debut, and will also star Thappad actor Pavail Gulati. The film will be produced by Balaji Telefilms and Reliance Entertainment.

Actor Rashmika Mandanna shared pictures from the sets of the film and tweeted that she was excited to be a part of it.

Producer Ekta Kapoor will be collaborating with director Vikas Bahl for Goodbye once again. They have previously collaborated for films such as Lootera and Udta Punjab. She said she is excited to work with Amitabh Bachchan, and her excitement was evident in this tweet:

"Goodbye is an extremely special subject which has emotion and entertainment in equal measure," Ekta Kapoor

It is said that the film's story will be based on a funeral. “Goodbye is an extremely special subject which has emotion and entertainment in equal measure. It’s a story that every family will identify with. I am ecstatic to be working with Mr. Bachchan and thrilled to present Rashmika Mandanna in this beautiful film!" said Ekta Kapoor in a statement.

The film is going to be as interesting as its title and we are deeply honoured to have superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna onboard with us.”

Besides Goodbye, Rashmika Mandanna will also be seen in Shantanu Bagchi’s Mission Majnu alongside actor Siddharth Malhotra. She has mostly worked in Telugu and Kannada films.

As for Amitabh Bachchan, he was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo along with Ayushmann Khurrana, and is awaiting the release of his film Chehre.
