Former Miss Chennai Sahithya Jagannathan Blessed With Fraternal Twins

The former Miss Chennai Sahithya Jagannathan has given birth to fraternal twins. The VJ and anchor Sahithya Jagannathan made the announcement of the arrival of the twins on her social media handle.

Sahithya Jagannathan along with her husband Cary Edwards welcomed a baby boy and baby girl who are fraternal twins. Fraternal twins are the result of the formation of two separate eggs during the same pregnancy. Usually, the ovaries release one egg in a month. While in some rare events, both ovaries may release eggs and if fertilised they become fraternal twins.

Jagannathan wrote in the social media post announcing the birth of her newborns, "My baby boy, girl & I are all in good health 💕 Thank you for your love, support and kindness(so many of you sent me food for my cravings 😝🥰🙏🏽) through my pregnancy. So many mommas gave me such helpful tips and continue to do so 😘😘."

She added, "Do bear with me if I take a while to return phone calls, messages or DMs I’m a new mother to two adorable little munchkins & parenting feels like writing an exam where every question is out of syllabus."

Who is Sahithya Jagannathan?

Sahithya Jagannathan is a VJ, model, sports news anchor, and actor. She has also balanced modelling commitments with a degree in journalism. She made her debut with the bilingual film Neethane En Ponvasantham, wherein she played the role of Samantha Akkineni's best friend.

She has also represented India in the World Miss University contest in Seoul, Korea in 2010. During this contest, she won the Miss Speech title. Sahithya was the anchor for the Pro Kabaddi League for Star Sports in both Tamil and English. Sahithya Jagannathan was also seen as a commentator in Vijay-starrer 'Bigi'.
