Barkha Singh has been a constant presence on television, appearing on shows like Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Girls on Top. She got her first break as a child artist in the 2002 movie Mujhse Dosti Karoge which starred Hritik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, and Rani Mukherji.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Singh recalled her audition for the film, revealing that she was selected from among 600-700 children for the role. She had to go through five rounds of audition before she got selected for the part.
"I remember there were around 600-700 kids for the audition of the role of young Tina. I went there after my school and gave this audition as I wanted my mother to buy me ice cream," she said, adding, "It just happened that I got it but I did give five rounds of auditions for that.
Directed by Kunal Kohli who is known for his films like Fanaa and Hum Tum, Mujhse Dosti Karoge was based on a 1996 American romantic comedy, The Truth About Cats & Dogs.
Apart from films, Singh has also appeared on various television commercials for brands including Cadbury, Coca-Cola, and Clinic Plus. The actor recently appeared in the movie Silence...Can You Hear It? which featured Manoj Bajpayee and Prachi Desai in the lead.
