The trailer for Sudhir Mishra's upcoming film, Afwaah is out. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhumi Pednekar, and Sumeet Vyas in the lead roles.
The makers of the film have just dropped the trailer, which is scheduled to release in theatres on May 5. Pednekar shared the trailer on her social media account and wrote, "You can try to escape, but the chase never stops…Ek Afwaah aapki zindagi palat sakti hai."

The trailer portrays Sumeet Vyas as a politician with aspirations of holding high positions. When his girlfriend, Bhumi Pednekar, who plays her, flees, his intentions are derailed. She encounters Nawazuddin Siddiqui while making her getaway, and rumours of their elopement escalate. A furious Sumeet sets out to pursue them and resurrect his political career. The political thriller, which is directed by famous director Sudhir Mishra and executive produced by Anubhav Sinha, explores how a rumour can completely change someone's life. The screenplay for the movie was written by Sudhir Mishra, Nisarg Mehta, and Shiva Shankar Bajpai. The movie will debut in theatres on May 5.
In a previous interview, Mishra discussed the film's core themes and stated that Afwaah is a thriller that conveys a crucial message for our current times. He believes the audience would enjoy witnessing the extremely talented duo of Siddiqui and Pednekar on the big screen since they have given their all to this unconventional plot.
In an interview with PTI, Sumeet Vyas described the director as a maverick and showed his admiration for him. He remarked that it was a pleasure to see him work on set because few people are as passionate about creating stories. He noted that collaborating with him, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar was among his filmography's most enriching moments.
He continued by saying that this was one of two or three instances in his career where he felt like he had improved as an artist. He remarked that he sincerely hoped that the movie did well.
