The popular Indo-Canadian online star, who has vlogged her way through to the top of the comedian genre, will soon be showing her acting skills on television. The show is based on Ray Bradbury’s classic novel of the same name. The book’s title reflects book burning — the temperature at which paper catches fire and burns. The story revolves around the life of a young fireman. It shows his struggles to regain his humanity.
Singh will essay the role of Raven, a tabloid vlogger who works with the fire department and enables spreading the ministry’s propaganda on broadcast. Singh has been cast opposite Michael B. Jordan, Michael Shannon, and “The Mummy” star Sofia Boutella.
This film is the digital star’s first major acting gig. Her previous ventures were films like “Bad Moms”. She has also lent her voice for a character in “Ice Age: Collision Course”.
“Fahrenheit 451” is produced by Jordan’s Outlier Productions, co-writing by Amir Naderi. While producer David Coatsworth is keeping a check on the output, Bahrani is directing the movie.
The famous vlogger’s “Superwoman” channel came online way back in 2010. The Indo-Canadian star has been showered with love from all over the world since then.
Lily Singh has 10 million subscribers and her vlogs have garnered over 1.5 billion views. Singh has slowly gained the tag of being one of many digitally-native stars with a fame that has crossed over into traditional media, such as Colleen Ballinger and Jake Paul.
