What you can expect is a series of high-powered discussions to be held in the heart of Delhi. And we’re not kidding about the powerhouse of talent. We will hear from the ideators, role models and change-makers as we deep dive into a host of issues; from the way to make India’s growth story more inclusive, to how we script our national narrative, which should include 60 million women who are online. We might even see a turf war between old-school media and social — well, one lives in hope!

Women in Media in India

Our main panels will look at the scope of digital media, national and international media, as well as social, and advertising. (And yes, in case you were wondering, we will also feature a few good men!)

Panelists

With a stellar line-up including Suhasini Haidar, Shereen Bhan, Sonia Singh, Ritu Kapur, Raheel Khursheed, Samir Saran, Seema Goswami and Mallika Dua, we’re just getting started.

Focussed Panels

Digital media efforts in India are led by incredible women, at all levels of the hierarchy — they’ll be discussing their start up journeys to this very moment, how they’re learning to anticipate what audiences want… and will there be a sustainable business model in the future?

Women's INK: Editors Summit Women's INK: Editors Summit

While women editors in the mainstream media have broken practically all possible ceilings, we’ll learn about how they are re-setting the national and international narrative. Are we moving to a post-gender media space? Or is the boardroom the final frontier? Be prepared for a solid debate…Like the kind we see less and less on-screen. That’s right, no yelling or sledging, just some solid ideas and conversations, which SheThePeople.TV and ORF will be compiling the best of.

Are we moving to a post-gender media space? Or is the boardroom the final frontier?

As we all hail social media for democratising the traditional hierarchies of access, we’ll talk about branding, and of course, the El Dorado of our times, viral content. Not to mention the move from Mad Men to Fem-vertising — our advertising panel will help us get under the skin of some of those campaigns, to find out just how they’ve been yanking our heart-strings.
