Women in Afghanistan, however, are unsure of their future in the country and many are  protesting against the Taliban in Kabul. In a video shared by journalist Masih Alinejad, women can be seen demanding their right to education, to work and political participation. They are still haunted by Taliban's rule from 1996 to 2001 when they used to kill women for merely not covering their faces. They were not permitted to attend schools, work or even venture out of their houses without a male companion accompanying them. Read more about this here.
