The Bombay High Court recently allowed a married woman to undergo medical termination of her 32-week pregnancy citing serious foetal abnormalities.
The court allowed the termination of the pregnancy and said, "It is not the right of the medical board, and it is also not the right of the court to abrogate the woman's rights once they are found to fall within the contemplation of the law."
Delhi To Get Female Mayor After A Decade
Delhi is set to get a female mayor on Tuesday, January 24, as the mayor and deputy mayor will be elected by the second municipal house.
The post of mayor in Delhi sees five single-year terms on a rotation basis, with the first year being reserved for women, the second for open category, third for reserved category, and the remaining two for open category again.
