According to reports, the video was shot in Arsena village near the Sikandra police station limits in Agra. In the 22-second long video, a man identified as Shayambihari is seen beating a woman named Kusuma Devi, his wife. The woman is tied to a pole and later she is dragged by her husband after she is set loose. The police reportedly stated that the incident took place on July 14.
The man was booked by police along with his mother on the same day but they both are missing since then, as per reports. Sikandra police station in-charge Anand Kumar Shahi told TOI, "The incident is of July 14 of Arsena village under the Sikandra police station in Agra. A video of the incident surfaced on social media platforms on Wednesday."
He added, "The man in the video was identified as Shyambihari, the husband of the victim, Kusuma Devi." The police officer also said that the man and his mother were booked for voluntarily causing hurt to the woman, insulting her intentionally, outraging her modesty and wrongful confinement sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The survivor of the assault Kusuma Devi told the police on July 14 that her mother-in-law and her husband threatened her against filing complaint with the police.

The video also showed onlookers including women, children and youth making fun of the woman who was tied up with the pole. Moreover, the woman was carrying a shawl and a bag which was not spotted in the video once she was tied to the pole. Read more here.
