A married woman, who was living in a rented house in Delhi, was recently attacked by her landlady along with her female relatives. They stripped her and paraded her naked in broad daylight in the Palam locality. Instead of helping the woman, the locals took videos of the incident.

Police sources revealed that the people did not intervene because they thought that it was their personal matter. The woman has now approached senior police officials to take up the issue.

It all started with a couple renting a portion of the house that belongs to the 62-year-old landlady who used to live with her son and daughter-in-law. Their bad behaviour reportedly led the old woman to leave the house. However, the couple continued to live in the house.

Police said that the landlady's daughter-in-law doubts that the tenant couple wants to usurp the house and that her mother-in-law had intentionally kept them in the house on rent. So she called her female relatives who attacked the woman to prevent her usurping the house.

"All became mute spectators and kept on recording my videos. I was feeling humiliated but no one helped me," she said

"The accused woman had a doubt that her mother-in-law was intentionally keeping the victim as a tenant. She also had doubts that the victim and her husband were also hand in gloves. The accused came with four to five women and thrashed the victim, tore her clothes and paraded her naked," said a source, India Today reported.

The survivor has also alleged that the accused had also called the police who called her out of the house saying that they had received a complaint against her. But when she came out, the women attacked her unanimously.

"All became mute spectators and kept on recording my videos. I was feeling humiliated but no one helped me," she said.

The cops refused to hear her and threatened her landlady, she claimed. "My landlady is a senior citizen and a widow, the cops even threatened her," she alleged.

The police now says that they are probing the incident. On Saturday, they booked the daughter-in-law, Kamleshwari under Section 354, 323, 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
