Wimbledon 2021

India ended its challenge at the grass-court Grand Slam on July 7 which comes as a result of the defeat of Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna in the stop-start mixed doubles round.

According to reports, Mirza’s serve was consistently put under pressure which might be a result of her constant struggle to get her to serve right as she has not played much competitive tennis post her comeback.

Mirza earlier said that she is preparing for the fourth Olympics of her career, being the first Indian woman to do so. Taking a dig at people assumptions which claimed that her career will see a fall post-pregnancy, Mirza said, "I am in my 30s and I’m still here."

While her recent victory in the Hobart International WTA event proved, yet again, that a woman can have both- career and family, fans are awaiting a better performance from her at the upcoming Tokyo Games which might speak for her unfortunate defeat at Wimbledon.
