The Miss Supranational 2022 event being held at Strzelecki Park Amphitheater, Nowy Sącz, Malopolska, Poland announced its results on July 15, 2022 and India's Ritika Khatnani got the title of Miss Supranational Asia 2022. The beauty pageant was graced by the presence and performances by popular Polish singers like Doda and Monika Lewczuk. This beauty pageant started in 2009 and is held along with a parallel beauty pageant for men titled Mister Supranational. There are continent-wise beauty titles given to contestants and for Asia, Khatnani was at the top. Here's all we know about her.
Who Is Ritika Khatnani?
Ritika Khatnani is a 20-year-old model from Pune who holds the title of LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2021 and Miss Supranational of Asia 2022. Her family includes her mother, a single parent, and a brother who she considers as their pillar of support and her source of confidence. Once denied admission into a prestigious school because of her mother being a single parent, Ritika is now the face of India in the world. She got acquainted with Harnaaz Sandhu on the LIVA Miss Diva competition where Sandhu was crowned as Miss Diva Universe. While Harnaaz went on to represent India in Miss Universe 2022 and won the title, Khatnani represented India in Miss Supranational 2022.
India has given two Miss Supranational in the form of Asha Bhat in 2014 and Srinidhi Shetty in 2016 and Khatnani did her best to bring pride to the nation. She aspires to join Bollywood and has expressed her desire to work in movies in some of her interviews. While many beauty pageant winners from India took the road to Bollywood, it will be interesting to see how things unfold for her. Meanwhile, Ritika also won the title of Miss Photogenic at the 2022 edition of the Miss Supranational contest.
Miss Supranational 2022 title went to Lalela Mswane from South Africa who is also the first black woman to ever hold the title. The other winners of Miss Supranational continent-wise titles were Alexandrine Belle-Étoile (Mauritius) for South Africa, Valentina Espinosa (Colombia) for America, Carisa Peart (Jamaica) for Caribbean and Agata Wdowiak (Poland) for Europe.
