Olympic Swimmer Adam Peaty Splits From Girlfriend Eirianedd Munro After Three Years

Olympic and Commonwealth swimmer Adam Peaty and his partner Eirianedd (Eiri) Munro have announced separation. Peaty also apologised to Munro in a lengthy Instagram post.

Peaty wrote, 'Eiri and George, I am sorry for letting you down. My only interest is for the well-being of our family at this difficult time. So, I ask that our privacy is respected.'

Peaty and Eirianedd Munro broke separation news on Instagram through their Instagram handles. Peaty wrote, 'Eiri and I have decided to go our separate ways. We have enjoyed a wonderful three years together, two of those with our gorgeous son George. Our priority has always been to provide George with the happiest and healthiest home environment. Right now that means ending our romantic relationship. I could not ask for a greater mother for George. I am so grateful to Eiri for her amazing support over the last three years.'

Munro wrote, 'The last three years have been so amazing. Our little family has experienced so much laughter and love and joy. This next chapter of my life is surely going to be a difficult one.'  

Who is Eirianedd Munro?

Eirianedd Munro was born in Wales on January 4, 1998. It is reported that her father, Tola Munro, is a police officer at Somerset Constabulary. She has two sisters, Carys and Abi, and a brother, Elliott.
