WhatsApp Chats Raj Kundra: While Crime Branch officials have made a fresh raid at Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra's Juhu residence on Friday, Mumbai Police have recovered WhatsApp chats which reportedly revealed details about Kundra's international business deal worth 1.2 million dollars.
"In the WhatsApp chats, we have found that Raj Kundra was talking about a deal about selling 121 videos for USD 1.2 million," Mumbai Police shared, mentioning that this seemed to be an international deal, news agency ANI reported. Kundra, the businessman and husband of Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, and his IT head Ryan Thorpe have now been sent to police custody till 27th July in connection with an alleged pornography racket.
The Mumbai Crime Branch has sought another seven days of custody, ANI reported. Kundra reportedly had a tie-up with a London-based company involved in streaming pornographic content through Hotshots, a mobile app, according to Mumbai Police. They further suspect that money earned from the content was reportedly being used for online betting. The international-level business deal is one of the reasons why the transactions between Kundra's bank accounts need to be investigated, Mumbai Police told before the Magistrate Court today. The app has now been removed from Apple and Google app stores.
According to reports, Kundra has so far not divulged any details during the investigation. He has also denied all the charges against him. A police official noted that they have strong evidence against him in the case. Follow the case here.

The case has been investigated by Mumbai Police's Crime Branch since February this year. Here are the charges against Kundra in the case.
According to a report by Zee News, an email from the alleged company has been leaked, revealing details of a project titled Khwaab. The email mentions the names of two creators Paras Randhawa and Jyoti Thakur, who were approached for the project.
