Age is just a number, this 85-year-old woman from Pune has proved that yet again. People on social media are in awe after watching her juggle sticks like a pro. The octogenarian's video is going viral on social media today. She has impressed even Bollywood actors with her street martial arts skills.

It was Riteish Deshmukh who first spotted her and shared her video, on Instagram on Thursday. Netizens have named her “warrior Aaji maa” as she displays her skills on the streets and collects money for her family.

Eking out a living by juggling sticks, this feisty lady was later identified as Shanta Pawar, who to sustain herself and her family, amid the coronavirus lockdown, is showing off her skills on the streets of Pune, Times of India reported.

As per reports, locals often catch this woman in action on the same spot. Her son lost his job due to the lockdown and the elderly is the only breadwinner for their family. She told ANI, "I am doing it since I was 8. My father taught

me to work hard. People mostly remain indoors due to COVID-19, so I clang utensils as well to alert them when I perform."

"By God's grace, I am able to perform at this age and sustain my livelihood. My grandchildren are pursuing their studies and we are happy," she added.

After picking up the video from a Twitter user, Hatinder Singh, actor Riteish Deshmukh enquired about her. He applauded her skills by retweeting: "Warrior Aaaji Maa...Can someone please get me the contact details of her."

Later, in a separate tweet, Riteish confirmed that he was successful in connecting with her. "Thank you so much. We have connected with this inspiring Warrior Aaji Maa. Incredible story," he wrote.

Actor Aishwarya Kale took to Instagram a few days ago to share the video. She also explained how bewildering it was to witness something incredible like this and she wrote that she had a beautiful conversation with this inspiring artist.

Kale further wrote that the video was shared with an appeal to all to "extend a hand of help for the well-being of her family." In the video, we get to know that Shanta aaji is a resident of Hadapsar Pune.

The video has now collected over a million views.

Actor Sonu Sood also asked the Twitterati for her details. "Wanna open a small training school with her where she can train women of our country some self-defense techniques," he wrote. And Randeep Hooda wrote, "A woman who truly empowers herself and everyone around her! Salute to warrior Aaji owning traditional martial arts".
